I’m MOVING …

I’m MOVING … Well I hope at least! I have been offered a job house sitting for someone in the Florida Keys and I am going to take it … It will be a HUGE move for me since I live outside of Chicago. I am very excited and freaking out at the same time. But I have to just keep telling myself that its all going to workout for the best and you can’t be happy unless you do something to get there. Who doesn’t want to wake up every morning to palm trees possibly in your front yard? I am going to be blogging about my adventures on the road and while in Key West!

Wish me courage … I need that more than luck this week!

The Backside of Paradise – Key West

Today’s adventure was to find The Backside of Paradise, Man did we! We went to Geiger Key Marina and met with one of my friends from Twitter Barbie Wilson. She showed us this great little Marina with a bar and a view to kill for!

Yes I know! AMAZING!

Me and my Momma!

After hanging out by the docks for awhile we went to Barbie’s house to check out her boat that they do Charter fishing on! And we got the surprise of a lifetime when we looked down into the water! We saw a Manatee!!!!! It was more that we could have asked for and more!

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We did what your not supposed to do and gave him or her some water! They only drink fresh water!

Thanks Again to Barbie and make sure if you are in the Key West area to check out her Fishing Charter boat! Knee Deep Charters www.fishmekeywest.com

Barefoot Billys – Wave Runner Adventure

WOW what an adventure that was! We went out today on a Wave Runner for a 27 mile trip around the island of Key West. About 16 miles out the water started getting rough and our tiny ship was lost … Or maybe we lost it!

That little black spot would be Chad coming to rescue us! I was able to get back on our tiny ship. (the wave runner) But my Mom on the other hand was almost lost at Sea! Thanks to some rope and the quick action from Chad we were able to pull her to shallow water! Well maybe not yet … he also was telling her to not walk in the sand since there was a risk of stepping on coral or a Sea Urchin. Luckily I had the camera ready to capture this priceless moment!

This 1 is my personal favorite! And we have the thumbs up from Chad!

After she was safely to shore and picked up by someone at Barefoot Billys, we were back our way to finish our 27 mile trek! It was really an experience I will never forget and my muscles wont for a few days either!

Thanks to everyone at Barefoot Billys for a great afternoon of fun and memories for a lifetime!

Make sure to check out their website for rental prices and times! www.barefootbillys.com And ask for Chad!
