Snow Day

Since I have been in Washington state everyone has told me that the winters here are really mild and its very rare that we get snow. Well we have had an accumulation of snow so many times I lost count. The last snow that we had ended up being a snow day for the local kids and people sledding down some of the big hill in the neighborhood! I don’t think I’m in Kansas anymore … Oops I mean Florida!

This was some super heavy and wet snow! There were trees down all over the place from the weight. But I also have to say it was really pretty since all the tree tops were covered with a white blanket!

Wreaths Across America

This weekend Scott and I got up early on Saturday to participate in an activity that is very dear to my heart. Being a Navy spouse is not something everyone can do but I think that it has made me a stronger person. I have heard of this event before but always after the fact. This year I was extremely excited to participate. I know that it is a very special thing to celebrate and honor our fallen soldiers. I also know it is very special to me since I know someone in Houston, Texas was doing the same thing for my Grandfathers grave.

Thank you to everyone that took the time to join in on this activity near and far I know that the men and women in uniform would appreciate this.
