Revolution Pizza Music – RPM

As I was walking around Seattle today looking for a place to have lunch I stumbled upon this new pizza joint in Pioneer Square! It was great! From the superb service to the vintage music I was already impressed. I ordered 2 slices … how can you limit me to one choice? I got the margarita and pesto! Yes I said pesto! I didn’t ever think to put in on a pizza but now I sure will! Can we say YUM! I loved them but they were for sure different!

From what I understand they just opened last month and are still pretty new to the area. I can say that I will for sure be back! The pizza was delish, the service and atmosphere was what will keep me coming back!

More about them ….

RPM is a celebration of two great things, Pizza and Music. The music culture of Seattle is a special beast, a mixture of dark winter days, beautiful alpine vistas, the cold salty ocean and global influences create a sound you can’t find anywhere else. That “sound” has defined this region in the past and continues to do so today.

RPM was conceived by Harvey Ward Van Allen and Duffy De Armas to be a haven where local music, past and present, could be center stage in a neighborhood deeply rooted in the heritage of Seattle’s music scene. Good tunes paired with tasty slices and cold beer creates an instant classic, one that feels like it’s been here the whole time.

Harvey Ward Van Allen brought Casco Antiguo to Pioneer Square and now Tacoma, Duffy De Armas is one the owners of Electric Coffin and proprietor of the Piranha Shop event space.

“Our goal is to serve the best pizza in town, at an affordable price, available by the slice, and open late, as well as great pizza served up with the coldest beer in the neighborhood. We’ll have Salad and Wine too…

On top of great food and drinks, we will be supporting Seattle’s music culture through selling local records, hosting live music, and promoting bands through the restaurant.”

Day Out with Thomas

When I went to Chicago last month, my Mom and I took my 3 year old nephew Mason to see Thomas the Train. He LOVES anything that moves. Trains, Planes, and Automobiles! The look on his face when he saw Thomas was priceless. I think he was so shocked by how big it was and that it was real!

They had various options to choose from. We chose ride on the train that Thomas was pulling. We also got to meet Sir Topham Hatt and take a ride on Percy! They had quite a few other activities for the kids to do as well. I would highly recommend that you get there as early as possible. The kids seemed to be fading fast … my nephew included. It was about 90 degrees outside. There were lines for everything and that is very hard to explain to a 3 year old. Mason was an absolute trooper.  I highly recommend this activity but plan on it being a long day for the little one.

Dodge Dart 2016 – Product Review

2016 Dodge Dart White Car Review TORsAdventures 01

For the past week I have been driving a 2016 Dodge Dart around the South Florida area. I have to say that I was really not impressed with the car at all. Currently I have a 2008 VW Beetle Convertible so I knew things were going to be different but I thought I could find some cool features that my car doesn’t have.

My first impression was that everything seemed a little cheap. When wearing shorts or a dress the seat fabric actually scratches your legs. I connected my phone to the Bluetooth to take advantage of the hands free options because it said that my phone was compatible.  When I tried to use it the system it couldn’t seem to hold the connection to play music or make a call.

I do understand that this is a lower model car and I was not thinking that it was going to be like a Lexus or an Audi. With that said,  I do expect a little more since it is a 2016 model and it should have a newer feel to the car and cool new fabulous electronics. The rental only cost me $120 for the week but, the memory will stick with me for awhile. Next time I will choose a different car or pay for the upgrade.

After some research online I found some price specs and as I thought, this car it is at the low end of the car pricing scale. However, these days all new cars should be fun – AT LEAST FUN ELECTRONICALLY. Overall if this is your first car and you are looking for a good deal that has a factory warranty and new car smell this car will fit the bill but not much else.
