I have to admit I have never spent any time in the state of Idaho so when Scott brought the idea up I was not the most excited in the world. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. After some Google searches I discovered that his Grandparents had a house in a very small town called Clark Fork. I have to say by small I mean tiny … 527 people to be exact. I knew that they were on a river that flows to a huge lake. I had no idea about the stunning views that I was in store for.

After we arrived we went straight down the dock to the boat to begin our relaxing vacation. I spent a lot of time on that dock just reading and taking photos. I was really excited to learn that they had quite a few eagles in the area and was able to get some pretty cool photos of them. Majority of our time was spent out on the boat. I think this trip took me out of my comfort zone for quite a few reasons. I love an adventure sometimes I just like it to be at a nice restaurant vs. climbing a mountain.

I’m sure this area would be beautiful with a little snow falling and when the lake has ice on it. I loved all the huge trees everywhere you looked. I was always on the lookout for a moose… I have yet to see one on any adventure I was taken into the wild.
