Chevy Spark – Week long adventure!

Hey everyone as many of you know I had a Chevy Spark for a week long adventure! In the time that I had the car some of my friends and family convinced me to name it. We finally settled on Sparkle!

Fiesta Red!

Sparkle was a joy to drive for a week. I took it into Chicago and went to Shedd Aquarium, and may I say parking was a breeze! I also decided to see how many groceries I could fit into the trunk and back seat of the car. I was impressed!

Does Walmart have anything left?

Sparkle also went to the park!

After having the car for a week something that I was monitoring was the gas mileage. 30.1 was the highest average I was able to see. I tend to do more city driving vs. highways. The car is said to get 33 mpg.

One of my other favorite features was the screen in the dashboard!

I’m a country fan!

A few features I would have liked to have seen with the car are navigation and better gas mileage. I did talk to a friend of mine that works for a Chevy dealer and he said there will be an app available soon to provide navigation in the car for a one time $50.00 fee.

Overall the car is a great value. The model that I was driving was a 2LT automatic. $15,970 is the listed price. Power locks and windows along with remote entry. And my personal favorite part of the car was the heated seats!

Thanks again to Chevy for letting me drive the car!

Shedd Aquarium – Chicago

This weekend I had the pleasure to visit the Shedd Aquarium located in Chicago, IL. It was a fun filled exciting day! I took my nephew Chris with me and we had so much FUN! We started the day out walking around to all of the exhibits on the main floor. The Caribbean Reef, Amazon Rising, Oceans, Local Waters, Islands and Lakes and Rivers.

The Caribbean Reef tank!

Next we went down stairs to the Abbott Oceanarium and the Polar Play Zone. After getting the lay of the land we decided to wait in line a little early for the Aquatic show that was starting at 12:00. Man was it worth it! We ended up in the front row and got to see the penguins up close and personal!

After the show we decided to have some lunch! Bubble Net food court was where we went. The food was surprisingly inexpensive. Chris had pizza and I had a chicken sandwich all for under $20.00. Our next adventure was to the 4-D movie! We saw Ice-Age. It was really fun and it made me jump in my seat a few times!

Were ready for the 4-D show!

The Jellies were the last exhibit on our list and we saved the best for last! I was always intrigued with Jelly fish but I never took the time to see how majestic they were.

Here are a few tips that I would recommend to anyone planning a trip to Shedd Aquarium. Go with the Valet parking its worth the extra $6.00. Also make sure to buy your tickets in advance it will cut your wait time in half at least.
