By the time you are reading this post I will be a married woman! Crazy thought I know but I am happy that its happening and even happier that I am marrying Scott. I know this is going to sound cheesy and stupid but I am marrying my best friend. Shhhhhh don’t tell Melissa and Amy (they each think they are my best friend) who have bought plane tickets and are coming down to the wedding. Speaking of Amy … she is giving us one to the most unique and wonderful gift I could ask for. She went online and by the power vested in her by a random internet website she is officially an ordained minister and will be marrying us!

Since I said that I wouldn’t show the world my dress before Scott got to see me in it this is my official unavailing … I am a married woman now!

Crockpot Fajita’s – Recipe

Yes I know what you are thinking … how on earth can you make fajita’s in the Crockpot. Well I tried. And not to toot my own horn……….B U T ……….I succeeded!

1lb of boneless skinless chicken breasts
2-3 onions sliced
2-3 red, yellow and green peppers
1 package of fajita mix

And that’s all you need. Unless you want to go a step above and beyond and make homemade hard-shell tortillas. Just put about a half a cup of oil in a pan and heat until you see small bubbles on the side. Then using tongs place half the shell in until crispy and then repeat on the other side.

Kenny in the Keys

Kenny Chesney posted on all of his social media that he was going to be playing a free show in Key West on Monday at Sloppy Joes Bar. I was so excited. The best part about living in Key West is the ability to see some of the best shows in the Keys. Many of those shows are FREE! A few weeks ago I saw Jake Owen and this week it was Kenny Chesney. Who will it be next? I know Jake Owen will be here again for Songwriters Festival!

The doors were supposed to open at 10:00 a.m. but my friend Barbie was in line at 7:30am and she barely got in! She said that not many people got in after her and that the Fire Marshall was there counting heads! I got off work at 4:30 and headed over. The streets were packed! While trying to give us more sound they blew out the speakers on the porch at Joe’s Tap Room trying to let us listen outside. My backstage photos are because a Sloppy Joes employee came outside took our phones in a snapped a whole buck of photos for us! Awesome!

It was a lot of fun and I would absolutely do it again! I can’t wait to wear my Kenny in the Keys shirt to his concert in May! Thanks Kenny!
