Hops in the Hangar

This was my first year attending the 9th annual Hops in the Hangar presented by the Delta Flight Museum. We were able to sip on suds from more than 40 craft breweries! I flew in on an early flight so that I could get in some extra plane spotting time at the Delta Sky Club in F with an outdoor patio.

The 767 was open and ready to transport you back to 1980. I remember those Verizon phones in the seats. We had the Economy tickets but man I wish I was able to snag one of the First Class tickets. The gift bag was amazing! I heard it had a 747 trading card in it! Next year I will buy my ticket sooner!

The plane spotting from our hotel balcony was just as good as I remembered, only this time I brought my real lens a Canon 100-400. I was able to get some amazing shots this trip.

I also spent the night at the Renaissance Concourse, There are 2 locations near the airport but you want the concourse one because of the stunning runway views!

NYC – 2023

Hi yall! I just finished my first trip of 2023 and it was a huge success. I went with a co worker who is also a friend. I was talking to her last week and said … darn we should have booked those tickets we saw last week to take a work related trip with my companion pass that expired on January 31 2023. Everything I looked at wasn’t available.

Maybe we should go somewhere else … Ohhhh yea this is a great idea. 20 minutes later we are booked for some fun in NYC for the weekend!!! We found a nice little hotel right in the middle of it all called Distrikt. I am Diamond member with Hilton so I knew we would get a few perks.
All I wanted for breakfast was a lox bagel and we found a delicious one! Up next was shopping at Saks to use my $50 credit from my American Express Platinum card. Then we decided to walk over to where the Plaza is for even more food and drinks. During covid they only allowed people who were staying at the hotel to enter the lobby. I had some of the best french onion soup!
Then we did a little shopping at Bergdorf Goodman. I found some of the coolest Valentino shoes at a clearance price I couldn’t pass up!
